HEC announces undergraduate admissions test 2022| How to apply

For undergraduate admissions at all Pakistani universities, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in Islamabad announced the use of a standardized exam. Universities will accept the results of the Quarterly Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) 2022. The undergraduate admissions test 2022 (USAT) test will most likely take place on August 28, 2022, and the deadline for HEC USAT 2022 online enrollment is August 12, 2022.
The Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT) will be administered by the Higher Education Commission via the Education Testing Council (ETC) for undergraduate admission in Pakistani universities. The USAT is based on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) format and includes all recognised undergraduate entry-level engineering, medical, information technology, management, and social science subjects.
The students after qualifying USAT would stand eligible to all universities like the SAT.
Who can Apply for Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT 2022)?
- Students who have completed Grade 12 or the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or an equivalent
- Students who took the final test and are waiting for the results
- students with a 12-year education or its equivalent in any subject
HEC USAT Test Pattern:
PART 1
- Number of test items (75 mcqs)
- Time allowed 100 minutes
- Verbal reasoning: 35
- Quantitative reasoning: 40
PART II
- Time allowed 40 minutes
- Essay writing skills 400-500 words (either in english or urdu): 25
Any rating more than or equal to 50 will be regarded as a qualifying USAT rating. On the USAT, a person can only receive a perfect score of 100.
The test is initially scheduled to take place concurrently in Pakistan’s major cities on a quarterly basis. However, additional testing could be scheduled if necessary. Candidates can register online through the ETC website’s registration portal after the annual test schedule has been posted there.
Universities selection Criteria:
Universities will continue to announce their admission program independently. Students will apply to universities and will submit the USAT ETC score card for inclusion in the weightage-based merit determining formula.

HEC Essay Competition 2022| 500,000 Prize

HEC essay competition is announced by HEC, in collaboration with the ministry of planning and development. HEC is holding this Inter-University essay competition in Urdu and English language. The purpose of this competition is to mark the 75th Independence day of Pakistan.
The competition aims to educate young people about the opportunities and difficulties facing the country and their role in Pakistan’s development through critical thinking, innovation, and user involvement. It is a great opportunity for the youth to demonstrate their extraordinary writing skills and win national awards.

Eligibility criteria:
- Must be a Pakistani / AJK citizen
- Must be a regular university student
- The maximum age limit is 25 years
The submissions are required to be sent along with a registration form. The students can only participate in either language. The Word count should be between 2,500-3,000.
The deadline for submissions is August 26.

HEC Scholarships 2022| International scholarships for students

HEC scholarships 2022. The Moroccan Government Scholarship for the 2022 academic year has been announced by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) in Islamabad. For the academic year 2022–2023, the Moroccan Agency of International Cooperation (AMCI) provides scholarships to Pakistani students. So that they can pursue undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees at Moroccan public institutions.
The downloadable and filled-out AMCI application form can be submitted online at the HEC portal together with an application for the Moroccan Government Scholarship. The scholarship application date is September 20, 2022.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Pakistani/AJK national.
- Dual nationality holders are not eligible.
- Selected scholars shall be available to start/her academic studies in the Moroccan Universities by the start of the academic year (September/October 2023).
- Applicant must hold the following qualifications:
- FSC/A-level for Undergraduate program. Aged from 19-23 years.
- 16 years of education in relevant fields of study for the Master’s program
- 18 years of education in the relevant field of study
IMPORTANT NOTE: The language of instruction is French, and only students who have demonstrated success in their French language learning program will be permitted to travel to Morocco to complete their scholarship.
How to Apply for HEC scholarships 2022 (Moroccan):
- Visit https://www.amci.ma/sites/default/files/2022-05/Formulaire%20de%20candidature%202022-2023.pdf to download and complete the AMCI application form.
- The application for AMCI is available in French. The applicant may provide their information in English. The application is accessible in an unofficial English translation here.
- Online applications are accepted at HEC’s website at https://scholarships.hec.gov.pk/#/auth/login Please choose “Learning Opportunities Abroad” after signing up and completing your profile. Get the applicant to sign the application’s printed copy after it has been submitted. On September 20, 2022, the HEC online application portal will close (04.00 PM)
- All applicants should be aware that HEC will handle all nominations from Pakistan. Please send two sets of the AMCI application (FRENCH Form) in spiral binding, along with the necessary supporting documentation listed on page 2 of the AMCI application form, and one copy of the HEC application in spiral binding, with supporting documentation sent separately, by September 20, 2022.
- Applications must be fully completed in every way and submitted to HEC by postal mail at the following address: Scholarships Division, Higher Education Commission, Foreign-Funded Scholarships.

If you have any questions about the online registration process, you can get assistance from HEC regional offices or onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk.
Complete your profile using the “My Profile” section, then submit your application using the links under “Undergraduate Studies Admission Test” in the menu panel on the left sidebar of the web portal.
Applications in SAVE or INCOMPLETE status will not be taken into consideration for the USAT Test; only applications that have been SUBMITTED will.
Each candidate must pay PKR 1,200 to take the Undergraduate Studies Admission Test (USAT). The candidates’ Habib Bank Limited Account number is 1742 7900 1334 01, where they will deposit the required fee. Higher Education Commission, Account Title.
Before the deadline for registration, applicants must send a copy of their fee deposit slip through courier, an ATM receipt, or an online transfer to the Member’s House, HEC Sector H-8, Islamabad.
The test fee is not transferable or refundable.
