A Saudi visit visa for Pakistani passport holders comes in four main forms: a family visit visa sponsored by a relative living in Saudi Arabia, an Umrah visa through a licensed operator on Nusuk, a free 96-hour stopover visa when flying Saudia or flynas, and the tourist eVisa, which Pakistanis can get only if they hold a used US, UK or Schengen visa or live in a GCC country. Since 1 February 2025, Pakistanis receive single-entry visit visas valid for 30 days instead of one-year multiple-entry visas. Visa fees start at about SAR 300 (about Rs 22,400), plus mandatory health insurance.

Saudi visit visa for Pakistani citizens: all options in one table
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) runs the main visa platform at visa.mofa.gov.sa. Tourist eVisas are sold at visa.visitsaudi.com, Umrah visas are booked through Nusuk, and the unified KSA Visa platform brings these services together. This table shows which route fits which traveller.
| Visa | Who qualifies | Fee | Validity and stay | Where to apply |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Family visit visa | Parents, spouse, children (and other relatives) of a Saudi resident who sponsors you | Reported as SAR 300 (about Rs 22,365) plus insurance; confirm on MOFA | Single entry, 30 days for Pakistanis since Feb 2025 | Sponsor requests on visa.mofa.gov.sa; you submit at a visa centre in Pakistan |
| Umrah visa | Any Muslim pilgrim booking a package through a MoRA-attested operator | SAR 300 visa fee plus insurance and a mandatory Nusuk package | Enter within 30 days of issue; stay up to 90 days | Licensed Umrah operator using Nusuk |
| Stopover (transit) visa | Passengers on Saudia or flynas with a stopover in Saudi Arabia | Free | Valid 3 months; stay up to 96 hours; Umrah allowed | saudia.com or flynas.com while booking |
| Tourist eVisa | Pakistanis holding a used US, UK or Schengen visa, US/UK/EU permanent residents, or GCC residents in eligible jobs | About SAR 480 to 535 including insurance (about Rs 35,800 to Rs 39,900); confirm at checkout | Multiple entry for one year, up to 90 days’ stay (standard eVisa terms) | visa.visitsaudi.com or visa.mofa.gov.sa |
| Package visa (pilot) | Travellers from Pakistan and six other countries booking a 4-star-plus hotel package | Visa plus insurance SAR 402.21; package from SAR 4,000 for 2 days | Not published | Registered travel agents |
The tourist eVisa is not open to ordinary Pakistani passport holders. Pakistan does not appear on the eligible country list on visa.visitsaudi.com, which tells applicants from unlisted countries to contact the nearest Saudi embassy.
What changed for Pakistanis in 2025 and 2026
Single-entry visas only (February 2025)
From 1 February 2025, Saudi Arabia stopped issuing one-year multiple-entry visit visas to nationals of 14 countries, including Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. Tourist, business and family visit visas are now single entry with a 30-day stay, according to ARY News and ProPakistani. Umrah, Hajj, diplomatic and residence visas were not affected. The reason given was people using long visit visas to perform Hajj outside the official quota.
Shorter Umrah visa entry window (November 2025)
The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah cut the Umrah visa’s entry window from three months to one month. You must now enter within 30 days of issue or the visa expires, though you can still stay up to three months once inside, as Aaj News reported on 31 October 2025.
Package visa pilot (July 2026)
ProPakistani reported on 13 July 2026 that Saudi Arabia started a package visa pilot for Pakistan and six other countries. It bundles flights, a Ministry-approved hotel of four stars or above, insurance and the tourist visa, with a minimum of SAR 4,000 (about Rs 298,200) for the first two days and SAR 1,000 for each extra day. The report quoted unnamed officials, so confirm details with a registered agent.
Visa waiver for official passports only (September 2026)
Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan signed a visa waiver agreement at the UN General Assembly in New York, BOL News reported on 22 September 2026. It covers diplomatic, official and special passports only. Ordinary green passport holders still need one of the visas above.
Saudi family visit visa from Pakistan
This is the most common route for Pakistanis with relatives working in the Kingdom. The resident (the sponsor) starts the process, not you. The usual sequence looks like this, though screen names on the MOFA platform change from time to time.
- The sponsor logs in to the visitor services section of visa.mofa.gov.sa and submits a family visit request with your name, relationship and passport details.
- After approval, the sponsor sends you the request or application number, along with a copy of their iqama.
- You (or your agent) complete the visa application form, pay the fee and buy the mandatory health insurance.
- You give biometrics and submit your passport at an authorised visa centre in Pakistan. ARY reported in February 2025 that Etimad visa centres handle this.
- Track the application with your application number or visa number on the status enquiry at visa.mofa.gov.sa.
Keep proof of relationship ready. A NADRA Family Registration Certificate or marriage certificate is what visa centres usually ask for. Children need a NADRA B-Form to get a passport.
The fee has been reported differently over the years. Gulf News listed SAR 200 for a family visit visa in 2023, while expat guides cite SAR 300. The current amount is shown when you pay online, so check there before handing cash to an agent.
Umrah visa for Pakistanis
Pakistanis cannot apply for the Umrah visa directly on Nusuk. You book through an Umrah operator attested by Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, which works with a Saudi-approved service provider. The visa fee is SAR 300 (about Rs 22,365), but Saudi rules require a service package with at least accommodation and transport, so the full cost depends on the package.
Women travelling for Umrah should check the current mahram rules with the operator. After you apply, follow our step-by-step guide to checking your Umrah visa status in Pakistan.
Free 96-hour stopover visa
If you fly Saudia or flynas to another country with a stop in Jeddah or Riyadh, you can add a free stopover visa while booking. Gulf News explained when it launched in January 2023 that the visa is valid for three months, allows up to 96 hours in the country and lets you perform Umrah and visit Madinah. On Saudia you choose “Visit Saudi” or “Perform Umrah” as a stopover; on flynas you apply under “Manage” with your PNR. Neither airline’s announcement listed excluded nationalities, so check the option appears for your Pakistani passport during booking.
Saudi tourist eVisa: the route for Pakistanis with US, UK or Schengen visas
A Pakistani who holds a valid US, UK or Schengen tourist or business visa that has been used at least once (with an entry stamp) can apply for the Saudi tourist eVisa or get one on arrival. Permanent residents of the US, UK and EU also qualify. GCC residents can apply online through MOFA, but only certain occupations are accepted, according to Gulf News.
The eVisa portal describes the visa as a one-year multiple-entry visa with up to 90 days in the country, and it allows Umrah outside Hajj season. Reports differ on the fee: Gulf News cited SAR 480 including insurance in January 2023 and SAR 535 in August 2023. The final amount appears at checkout on visa.visitsaudi.com. It is not clear whether the February 2025 single-entry rule also applies to Pakistanis who qualify through a third-country visa, so check the entry type shown before you pay.

Common mistakes that delay a KSA visit visa from Pakistan
- Spelling differences between the sponsor’s request and the passport.
- Expecting a one-year multiple-entry visa. Pakistanis have been limited to 30-day single-entry visit visas since February 2025.
- Using a family visit visa to stay for Hajj. This is the misuse that triggered the 2025 restrictions, and it can lead to fines and deportation.
- Not entering within 30 days of an Umrah visa being issued.
- Paying agents for a “tourist eVisa” when you do not hold a qualifying US, UK or Schengen visa.
