NADRA WhatsApp Number, Helpline and Office Contacts (Verified 2026)

NADRA does not publish a two-way WhatsApp chat number for complaints or applications. What it runs is an official NADRA WhatsApp Channel (one-way updates, about 2 million followers), while help comes through the 1777 helpline from any mobile (24/7) and +92 51 111 786 100 from landlines and abroad, both listed on nadra.gov.pk. Any “NADRA WhatsApp number” that asks for your CNIC, OTP or a fee is not NADRA.

NADRA WhatsApp number: what actually exists

NADRA launched its WhatsApp Channel in January 2024. The state news agency APP reported on 25 January 2024 that the channel shares real-time information on birth certificates, CNICs and other documents and is meant to stop misinformation (APP).

The official channel link is whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaH7JG2I1rckS9XnTg23. The channel page shows the name “NADRA” and around 2M followers.

A WhatsApp Channel is a broadcast list. You can read posts and react, but you cannot send a message, upload a document or file a complaint through it. So if someone gives you a regular phone number and says “this is NADRA’s WhatsApp”, treat it as unofficial until NADRA’s own website or helpline confirms it.

These are the only channels we could confirm on NADRA or government pages. The source is next to each one.

The 1777 short code works from Pakistani mobile networks. Overseas Pakistanis should dial +92 51 111 786 100, which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also lists as the Pak Identity telephone line (written as 0092 51 111786100 on the MOFA NICOP page).

NADRA number for overseas Pakistanis

Pakistani missions no longer process NICOP themselves. The MOFA page says plainly that NICOP services “are no more provided by the consulate” and sends applicants to the Pak Identity portal at id.nadra.gov.pk.

For overseas questions, the order that works best is:

1. Log in to Pak Identity and check the status of your application under your existing applications.
2. If the portal shows an error, email support.pakid@nadra.gov.pk with your tracking ID and a screenshot.
3. For anything else (fees, documents, delays), call +92 51 111 786 100. Keep your tracking ID and CNIC or NICOP number ready.

What to have ready before you call the NADRA helpline

Calls go faster when the agent can find your record on the first try. Keep these in front of you:

• Your CNIC, NICOP or B-Form number (13 digits).
• The tracking ID or receipt number from your latest application.
• The NRC name and visit date, if your issue is about a centre.
• The mobile number registered with your application.

Write down the agent’s name or reference number at the end of the call. If you need to follow up, quoting it saves you from explaining everything again.

NADRA office number and finding your nearest NRC

NADRA does not publish a separate public phone number for each NADRA Registration Centre (NRC). The homepage has a “locate your nearest NRC” tool, and the national helpline handles questions about a specific office, its timings and whether it offers a service such as Executive or urgent processing.

NADRA complaint number and how to file a complaint

There is no separate “complaint number”. Use one of these routes:

• Call 1777 (or +92 51 111 786 100) and ask the agent to log a complaint. Write down the reference number they give you.
• Email csd@nadra.gov.pk with your CNIC, tracking ID, centre name, date of visit and a short description.
• Online complaint system: the Pakistan Consulate in Los Angeles describes NADRA’s Complaint Management System, which gives each complaint a trackable ID and aims for a reply within 48 hours (Consulate LA). The link it gives points to the Pak Identity domain.

Keep complaints factual: one issue per complaint, with dates and tracking numbers. Vague complaints take longer to route.

Tracking a CNIC by SMS

ProPakistani reports that you can send your application tracking ID to 8400 to check CNIC status (ProPakistani). NADRA’s own page for this could not be opened when we checked, so confirm the short code and any SMS charge on 1777 before relying on it.

Fake “NADRA” WhatsApp numbers and scams

Fraudsters use NADRA’s name because people trust it. Common versions are messages saying your CNIC will be blocked, offers to “fix” your record or deliver a card for a fee, fake Ehsaas or BISP-style “registration via NADRA” links, and accounts using NADRA’s logo as a profile picture.

In August 2025, NADRA warned citizens against unofficial websites and apps that claim to represent it, and said the official Pak Identity system is the authorised platform for ID services (Mobile ID World). In June 2025, National CERT warned of a sharp rise in WhatsApp phishing in Pakistan, including fake verification codes and impersonation messages (Digital Rights Monitor).

How to verify a NADRA contact in 30 seconds

1. Check the domain. Official web addresses end in nadra.gov.pk (for example id.nadra.gov.pk). Look-alikes such as nadra-online.pk or nadragov.com are not official.
2. Check the channel. NADRA’s WhatsApp presence is a Channel, not a chat. A personal or business WhatsApp chat claiming to be NADRA is a red flag.
3. Call 1777 and ask whether the number or link is genuine.
4. Never share an OTP, your WhatsApp six-digit code, your biometric details or photos of your CNIC with a chat contact.
5. Pay fees only inside Pak Identity or at an NRC counter, never to a personal JazzCash, Easypaisa or bank account.

Mistakes that get people scammed

• Searching “NADRA WhatsApp number” and messaging the first number on a random website.
• Sending a CNIC photo to an “agent” to speed up a card.
• Sharing the WhatsApp verification code, which hands over the account. If that has happened, follow our steps to recover a hacked WhatsApp account.
